Hi Ken! You've done a wonderful job on the website. I'm drama '66 and we've yet to have someone jump in there and do one for us.... It's really gratifying to know that our new PA-Only association, SPAA, has generated all this great energy and motivated people to create websites in order to be in touch with each other, not to mention phone calls and planning to get together. It's exactly what we had as our vision; re-creating our PA family. Thanks for all your efforts! I hope to meet you in April. All my best to '83! Ellen Lerner, (Interim Exec. Director, School of Performing Arts Associaton)

Very Cool, and a pleasure to see the old faces before seeing them as...well...old faces. Not that we're all pushing 40 or anything. OK I'll shut up now. Anyway I welcome all PA pals to contact me at: sconeemike@yahoo.com and I look foward to seeing some of you on 4/4. All the best! Tobin

What a great site. I was really impressed by all the energy that's gone into keeping '83 alive. Thanks to everyone involved. Hello to all my fellow PA'ers. I'm living in our imperfect world in nearly perfect San Diego (72º and breezy) with my husband Matthew of 8 years and our 13-month old baby, Tommy. I'm currently working as a graphic designer after a short-stint as a professional dancer. I feel blessed to be given a second passion in design that is equal to or maybe even greater than my love for dance. My business is Milestone Design, Inc., named Milestone with the intent to clear up any mispronounciations with my name Meils, pronounced Miles—after years of having to articulate Gianfagna. Yesterday I got back from a trip to Washington, DC where one of my designs won an award from the Smithsonian. It was so exciting seeing my work at the Smithsonian—one of those eventful days as when I was accepted to PA . I hope to make it to the reunion but the chance of it seems slim right now, however, please reach me at 619-233-8738 or 619-884-4038; 2571 C St., San Diego, CA 92102. Much thanks Anthony for not giving up on me and please keep in touch. God Bless the class of '83—students, teachers and all.

Wow. Kenny. Words don't begin to describe the feelings your website brought up (which makes sense -- me being a writer and all -- currently, I'm a creative director / copywriter at an ad agency). Of course the power of the stage still has me in its sway... I've been working on a musical version of "The Man Who Fell To Earth" for the past few years (think "Jesus Christ Superstar" via U2's ZooTV tour.) I hope you are well and I look forward to seeing everyone at the reunion. (We'll see if my now 7-month old son Will and wife Nina) are up to joining me. All the best... - Dave Statman davidstatman@aol.com

Hello fellow alumni: This is Judith Bowen-Olivero aka China (Dance '83/'84). To clear up a few puzzled minds I started out freshman and sophmore year with '83 class however graduated in '84. I just wanted to let everyone know that I had the best time in 20 years at the 2003 reunion this past weekend. I look forward to attending the '84 reunion as well. You guys have not changed not to mention all the memories that came out and to be able to see the old school in its new coat of paint. I look forward to the next 20 years. God bless the class and families of '83 and '84. See ya guys soon. Sincerely, China '83/'84

So I think what amazed me most of all about this past weekend in regard to seeing my PA chums (and one sign of advancing age is that I don't think I have ever said "chums" in any grammatical context before) was my assessment of how much has changed for us all, while at the same time, how little has changed between us all. Seeing everyone was wonderful and challenging in that everyone who sees me now saw me then and has, by virtue of that fact, the ability to remind me of what can still be..Thank you for that. It was good to see you all..love, Tobin (sconeemike@yahoo.com)

Hi All, It's Terri Hall-Jackson, dance major. Left PA a year early to dance professionally. Went to U of Michigan after dancing for a year. Have had several professional incarnations over the years, but have been self-employed as a massage therapist and owner of a massage therapy company over the last 10 years. Married a PA alum in 1999 (Tyrone from Class of 84). We have a little girl, Danika - 2 1/2 yrs old (pronounced Da-nick'-a)and another little girl is due in September. Still in NYC but moving upstate to Rhinebeck next year. Would love to hear from you guys, especially Todd Rolle.

Oh my, I don't know where to begin. I had just returned from my college reunion when I got a phone call from Alysa Lesemann, aka Zelman, who gave me the website. While I am deeply saddened by our family losses, I am glad to see so many of you up and kickin'! I guess when you move out of nyc people forget about you, sniff sniff, or . . . don't care. :-( Ken and company, you have done an amazing job of preserving the past and revitalizing our community's future. Many thanks for a terrific job! And, Alysa thanks for the information. This is Lorri Olan: married for almost 11 years now, have three kids (Miles 8, Catalena 5, and Liam 4), am an attorney working as a permanent law clerk, and am living in the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia. Not quite the city slicker anymore. To the two Todds, I can't believe you were both there and I missed it! bummer. Stephanie, you still have that fabulous smile, Amy you look exactly the same! How did you do that? The photo gallery brought back sooo many memories. PA was a special place, glad to know I am not the only one who thought so. I will submit more personal information and photos at a later date and include some school photos which I have somewhere around here. Again thanks for a fabulous experience! I look forward to rekindling old friendships: lorri@rockbridge.net FYI, Mr. Mariani recently celebrated his 70th b'day, Mr. Trevor retired last year and Mr. Braunstein retired a few years ago. All are well!

Hi, My name is Paul Rodriguez and I am from the graduating class of 1985. I entered PA in in '83 as a sophmore and wound up in Laguardia in 1985. I pulled up an old file cabinet I have stored for over 20 years and found at lease 15 to 20 photos of my buddies from the old P.A. building. Some pictures include Jon Gordon (Alto Saxophone), Kyle Williams (clarinet), Barry (clarinet), Justin Page (percus.) and many more. I found the negatives and would love to add these photo taken during the last year of PA. I can be contacted at 718-379-0277. I would love to hear from anyone during the 83-85 years. Thank you for a very good site ....and to all who have contributed to it! These, are some excellent photos of PA. I would like to use them (particularly the black & white views of the old building) for my documentary: The HISTORY OF THE NY HIGH SCHOOL OF PERFORMING ARTS, 1948-1984. I, a PA graduate, am directing the project. I am seeking teachers, students; anyone who crossed the threshold of 120 West 46th Street, to participate. I have already taped several people in the New York area. Several PA ites in California and Florida have offered to be included. I am seeking people, in those areas, to help in the production. I will talk them thru the Documentary process. Videotaped, so far, include our beloved teachers: Dr. Marjorie Dycke, Ruthel Provet, Shirley Katz, Bel Kaufman, Sandy Kazan. Steve Lewis has composed the opening music which is to be arranged, orchestrated and assisted by Larry Blank, Jon Charles and Alan Russel. More music for the body of the documentary and closing credits will be forthcoming. Barry Plaxen and Roanne Patterson have been assisting in the taping process. I may be emailed at jstuv@rcn.com John Steinmetz
